Each week, the rankings will adjust as more teams compete. Sports thread proprietary algorithm calculates Pylon's national power rankings weekly based on the following criteria;

- Results generated ONLY from teams' performance in PYLON and Affiliate Power Ranking tournaments.

- All results are completely impartial and are generated from sports threads database using sports threads proprietary power rankings algorithm, there is no subjectivity or favoritism in the rankings

- Algorithm overview:

- Championship Wins

- # of wins

- # of losses

- Points scored differential

- Difference between points scored and points allowed

- Bracket wins

-Second Place finishes

- Strength of Schedule

- Losing to a team who has NOT played as well moves you DOWN the ranking list. Winning over a team who has played well moves you up the rankings closer to #1

- Additionally events vary in strength on a tier system for example, an event such as Tampa and Mecca will have slightly more value than events substantially smaller.
