Horses are an amazing masterpiece!

THE HORSE THAT GOD MADE

If there were one animal clearly built to carry a human and perform countless tasks, it would be the horse.
A horse’s heart and lungs are engineered for speed, strength, and endurance. With lungs that can take in about twelve times more air than ours, a horse can reach nearly 50 miles per hour, pull heavy loads, or travel close to 100 miles in a single day.

The horse also has a remarkable built in suspension system. The rear leg joints are angled so impact is absorbed through the joints instead of being driven straight up the legs. The front of the body is supported by powerful flexible muscles that suspend the torso between the forelegs like a natural shock absorber. Add in its built in “gears” that shift smoothly between walking, trotting, cantering, and galloping, and you get one of the most comfortable riding animals on Earth.
Its feet are just as incredible. The bones, hoof, and heel work together to provide strength, traction, and natural cushioning. No shoe ever invented comes close to matching what God built into a horse’s hoof.

Taken together, the horse is a masterpiece of purposeful design, serving humanity in farming, travel, sport, law enforcement, and so much more.

There is no proof that horses evolved from some other creature. We see different kinds of horses in the fossil record, but always horses.

Fun fact: when a foal is born, it has soft, rubbery “slippers” on its hooves. God designed them so the baby does not injure the mother during birth. Within a few days, they fall off on their own, revealing the fully formed hooves beneath.

Yes, the ponies are great examples of “small but mighty!”

🐴 SMALL BUT MIGHTY
Ponies may be small in size, but don’t let their size fool you—they can be mighty in mind, mighty in spirit, and mighty in personality! 😂🐴
Anyone who has spent time around ponies knows they often bring plenty of smiles and shenanigans wherever they go. They don't seem to understand that they're supposed to be intimidated by their size. They simply go about life with confidence, determination and a whole lot of attitude!
Their size doesn't dictate their reaction to a situation.
That reminds me of a young shepherd boy named David.
When David stood before Goliath, the difference in size was obvious. Goliath was a giant—big, powerful and intimidating. David was young and small by comparison. But David didn't focus on the size of the giant standing in front of him.
David focused on the size of his God.
And that's the lesson for us today.
Sometimes the Goliaths in our lives look enormous. A difficult diagnosis. A broken relationship. Financial trouble. Fear about the future. A mountain that seems impossible to climb.
We can look at the situation and think, “There's no way I can overcome this.”
But God isn't asking us to face our Goliaths in our own strength.
Just like when we're riding a horse down a difficult trail, we don't always know what's waiting around the next bend. There may be steep hills, fallen trees, deep mud or obstacles along the way. But we keep moving forward, trusting the One who knows the trail.
Your giant may be big, but your God is bigger.
So the next time you're facing a Goliath, don't measure the size of your problem. Measure the greatness of your God.
Ask the Lord to help you. Give Him your fear. Trust Him with the outcome. Then step forward in faith and watch what He can do.
Because sometimes God uses what the world considers small to accomplish something mighty. 🐴❤️
🙏Lord, when the Goliaths in my life seem too big for me, remind me that nothing is too big for You. Give me the courage of David and help me face my challenges with faith instead of fear. Guide me along every trail, especially the difficult ones, and help me trust You around every bend. Thank You for reminding me that my strength doesn't come from my size or my abilities—it comes from You. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏
🐴 Don't let the size of your Goliath determine the size of your faith.
Let go of the reins and let God REIGN in your life.
Happy Trails, y’all!❤️🐎 Take the Reins Ministry

Pulling on the reins is a very negative and counterproductive way of riding that’s incorrect for dressage riding.
