Literacy Achieves celebrates the success and milestones of our students each spring with a Family Fun Day! Congratulations to all the students who completed a school year at Literacy Achieves!

Meet Muna, one of Literacy Achieves’ inspiring students. She arrived in the U.S. from Baghdad in 2009 with her husband and two children, facing a world full of new challenges and a language she didn’t yet know.

Through Literacy Achieves, Muna gained the English skills, confidence, and community support to navigate daily life, earn her U.S. citizenship, and pursue her passion for teaching.

Sharing a few moments from the event with Hope Supply 💛

Families received two packs of diapers, wipes, a toy, and two clothing items per child, making this a truly meaningful donation for our community.

We had a great turnout, with 49 of 55 families attending. We were so grateful for partnerships like Hope Supply that made a real difference for the families we serve!

We’re excited to feature Bian Lian Nusantara as one of the evening’s incredible performances at Wings of Spring 2026.

This captivating act showcases the traditional Chinese art of Bian Lian, or “face-changing,” where masks transform in the blink of an eye. Blending this centuries-old technique with the vibrant cultural influences of Nusantara, the performance combines theatrical storytelling, striking costumes, and breathtaking stage artistry.
