May is recognized as National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about communication, hearing, and swallowing disorders—and honoring the professionals who help individuals find their voice and connect with the world.

This month, we celebrate the incredible work of speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and hearing specialists who make a meaningful difference in people’s lives every single day. From supporting children in developing their communication skills to helping adults regain speech after injury or illness, their impact goes far beyond words.

It’s also a time to recognize the importance of early detection, intervention, and access to the right support systems. Many individuals and families rely on these services to improve quality of life, build confidence, and foster independence.

As we observe this meaningful month, we encourage everyone to:
