Congratulations to SMID violinists Elise, Diya and Alexander on their fabulous performances today at the DMTA competition! Elise received
1st place in her elementary categories, Diya took 3rd in Intermediate and Alexander placed 3rd in the highly competitive Senior Strings division! Well done!

Congratulations to SMID teacher Amanda Hernandez, recipient of the distinguished young teacher award! This award is given to a select number of outstanding young teachers from across the country, in recognition of their contribution to the Suzuki method and future potential as rising stars in the next generation of Suzuki teachers! Congratulations Amanda!

Because of your generosity, this year’s North Texas Giving Day was our most successful ever! 🎉

We were just 5 donors shy of our 100-donor challenge, but we surpassed our fundraising goal and had a record number of donors. Your support keeps our students, families, and teachers inspired every day and we can’t wait to see all the music we’ll make together this year. 🎶 🎼

🎼 Early music study nurtures focus, discipline, and a lifelong love of learning. Our Twinkle Time class offers the perfect first step for young children beginning their musical journey! 🎻

This October, the Suzuki Music Institute of Dallas is offering an introductory violin class for children ages 3.5–6.

✨ In Twinkle Time, children will:
* Engage in posture activities using a box violin
* Explore rhythm, movement, and musical games
* Learn alongside their parent in a supportive group environment

🗓️ Choose Between Two 4-Week Sessions in October:
* Saturday Mornings, 9:00-10:00am
* Sunday Afternoons, 3:00-4:00pm

Give your child a joyful introduction to the violin and set them on the path to a lifelong love of music!

Congratulations to SMID students Diya Nair and Alexander Yu on a tremendously successful streak of competitions. Both violinists (in their respective age categories) received Honorable Mentions at the Collin County Young Artist competition, 1st place (and cash awards) at the North Texas Suzuki Association competition, and 2nd place awards at the highly competitive Dallas Music Teachers Association competition today!
Both students played beautifully and their hard work is being recognized! Congratulations Alexander and Diya, and their teacher Dr. Rhea Edelman.
