Tiles, laughter, and great company made for a wonderful evening at our Mahjong Open Play member engagement event!
JLD members gathered for a fun night of connection, conversation, and friendly competition while sharpening their Mahjong skills and getting to know fellow members across the League. Events like these are a meaningful reminder that some of the strongest connections in JLD are built through simple moments of gathering together.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for a night of community and camaraderie. We can’t wait for the next game night!
As we kick off year 105, Lauren Combest, our 2026 – 2027 President, shares a bit more about what her theme, Shine Bright, means to her and what you can anticipate as we look towards the year ahead.
We can't wait to make this our brightest year yet! ✨

A new League year begins — and what a year it’s going to be.
We are so proud to kick off the 105th year of the Junior League of Dallas, building on the incredible foundation laid by our 104th leadership team and every member who showed up with purpose this past year.
This year, our theme is Shine Bright — a call to every member to bring your whole self: your gifts, your perspective, your passion. Whether you’ve been part of the League for one year or twenty, there is a place for you to grow, serve, lead, and connect in ways that matter.
Together, we’ll be wrapping up our five-year strategic plan, deepening our community impact, and beginning to dream about what comes next for JLD.
Here’s to our brightest year yet. 🩵
And just like that… our year as the 104th Board of Directors comes to a close
Serving the Junior League of Dallas this year has been one of the greatest honors of our lives. Thank you for trusting us to lead, serve, and walk alongside you through a year centered on gathering, connection, leadership, and impact.
This final moment feels a little like graduation, celebrating everything we accomplished together while proudly tossing our teal bows in the air and cheering on the next class of leaders.
To the women of 105: we are so excited for you to step up and step in. The future of this League is bright because of leaders like you.
Thank you, JLD. We hope we served you well.

A special moment for the Junior League of Dallas: Pass the Gavel.
We are incredibly grateful to Lindsay Davis for her leadership during the League’s 104th year. Her theme of Gather reminded us of the power of coming together to lead, to serve, and to strengthen our community.
As we close this chapter, we are excited to welcome Lauren Combest as our 105th President. With her theme of Shine Bright, we look forward to a year that celebrates the incredible women who make this organization so special.
Thank you, Lindsay, for your dedication and service. Lauren, we are excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to see you lead the League forward.

We are honored to be named the recipient of the 2026 AJLI Excellence Award, the highest recognition awarded by The Association of Junior Leagues International.
This award honors a League that exemplifies excellence across every aspect of performance in a single League year: leadership development, community impact, inclusion and belonging, membership engagement and growth, and philanthropy.
We were also proud to bring home the Community Impact Award, representing our deep commitment to serving the city of Dallas.
And what a year it has been.
Together, we welcomed hundreds of new members, strengthened connection and belonging, launched innovative leadership programs, raised critical funds for our mission, mobilized our members to volunteer across Dallas, and continued investing in the women and organizations shaping our city.
To be selected from the Circle of Distinction, among the strongest Junior Leagues across the world, is an incredible honor and a testament to the passion, heart, and dedication of our members.
This recognition belongs to all of you: every member, donor, community partner, and leader who made this year possible.
This is what excellence looks like. Congratulations! 🎉 We did it, JLD! 🩵✨
