White Rock Montessori Nestled beside a creek on wooded acreage in East Dallas, WRM is an AMS Accredited school serving students 18 months to 8th grade.

is almost here! White Rock Montessori is once again participating in this initiative, and we need your help! Give at bit.ly/NTXGivingDay2026

This year, we’re raising funds to improve the outdoor spaces that make our school so special, including replacing our aging chicken coop, repairing and refreshing our outdoor buildings, and building a new goat enclosure.

A portion of this year’s gifts will also support the long-term financial health of White Rock Montessori through contributions to our endowment and reserves, as well as ongoing building maintenance and improvements. These investments help us prepare for future needs, protect our campus, and ensure that our school remains strong and sustainable for generations of Montessori students.

Your gift helps us care for the school we have today while building a stronger White Rock Montessori for tomorrow.

This summer, Amy Holloway, a WRM parent and a UNICEF Director of Philanthropy, recently traveled to Namibia with a UNICEF delegation to explore the humanitarian situation and how communities are supported there. While there, she presented the local UNICEF representatives with a gift from our school.

The keepsake provided by Ms. Montes was a clay cup that the P1 class sculpted together. They used red, white, and blue paint, and enclosed a beautiful card. The front of the card featured a photo of all the children's hands holding the cup, and the following inscription:

“With loving hands and joyful hearts,
We created this gift for you
As we worked together, the children imagined
A cup filled with cool, clean water on a long day
Or warm soup shared with comfort and care
Though we may live apart, we are connected by kindness, hope, and humanity.
The same sun shines above us,
the same dreams live in our hearts,
and the same love for children unites us all.
May this small gift carry with it our friendship, our gratitude, and
our wish that every child may feel safe, nourished, and deeply loved.”

Per Amy:

“There aren't words to describe the passion of Sam's team and the daily challenges faced by these frontline staff - they are witnesses and confidants for some of the most marginalized children.

Ms. Montes' words…so beautifully described the interconnectedness between people that we try to model for our children and there weren't any dry eyes, because it was so uplifting and hopeful to know teachers like her are shaping children's worldviews all the way on the other side of the planet in Dallas, Texas.”

Thank you, Amy, for all of the critical work that you do for children everywhere, and for sharing this beautiful experience with our students!
