This morning, Waterview students participated in their first House Huddle of the new school year. Students and staff were assigned to one of four houses: the House of Athens (Blue), the House of Middle Kingdom (Green), the House of Songhai (Yellow) and the House of Tenochtitlán (Red).

Throughout the year, houses earn points for challenge participation, school spirit and community engagement. The house with the highest total at year’s end is awarded the House Cup, celebrating teamwork, leadership and a strong sense of community.

Here at DIS, "Connection Time" brings our secondary school community together every morning. Through advisory, clubs, assemblies and grade‑level meet‑ups, students are able to build relationships, develop leadership skills and engage in meaningful experiences without reducing academic time.

By scheduling Connection Time outside of academic classes, we ensure students experience a balanced education that nurtures both personal growth and academic success. This is more than a morning routine, it’s how we build community!

We recently celebrated our Immersion students from 1st-3rd grade completing the program and receiving their diplomas. This diploma recognizes their remarkable efforts throughout the school year as they worked hard to reach the French level of their peers. From learning to understand and speak basic French to mastering reading and writing, they astounded us all. We are so proud of each and every one of them. Allez les Tigres !

On Wednesday, June 10, DIS welcomed new alumni as the Class of 2026 stepped across the stage of the Eisemann Center. It was an emotional event as our graduating seniors were presented with their diplomas and transitioned to the next stage in their academic and professional lives. Bravo, Class of 2026.
