Pelvis leveling: Watch the line of her T-Shirt as she engages the left lateral hip to pull the right hip up. Yes, you could use the QL, but we are trying to focus on the TFL on the standing leg. Listen for cues as you watch the body.

When you really pick apart a person’s movement preference… you make up exercises that suit them. This was one of MANY variations Karen & Melanie played with. Subtle but effective.
Speaking of FLEXION CONNECTION: knee stretches rounded! Knees off! Work the hip extension versus lumbar extension.
Erin’s Friday class had lots to play with today. A reminder that Pilates is a system, not just a reformer or mat. I love that during the Going Up Front/front lunge everyone chose a balance challenge that made them feel safe, but challenged.
