So while we still have to back track and post about the first 2 stops on our trip(before this page existed) I will leave you with a compilation of waterfalls and cascades we loved along the way!

Today is brought to you by Salem, Massachusetts (plus a little Beverly, MA too).
We began with coffee and pastries from Beantrust in Beverly followed by a thrift haul from Beverly Bootstraps which supports local charities here. After that we took a short drive to Salem where we explored historical sites, finally ate our hamburger we had been craving for days, and checked out tea rooms and a really cool emporium. We walked through the Ropes Sister’s garden. Their home is the one whose outside is featured in the movie Hocus Pocus. We visited the oldest cemetery which includes a Mayflower Pilgrim’s grave and is adjacent to the memorial for the 20 people who lost their lives in the Salem witch trials. They were not allowed burial rites in the Christian cemetery and their final resting place remains unknown to this day. We topped off the day with a walk along the Harbor. We ran into a very gregarious local who suggested The Anchor! Yet another amalgamation of a tiki bar and unrelated restaurant. This time it happened to be seafood. And Jenci finally got her long overdue Jack and Coke.

Soggy much? That was last night summed up in a picture. The second pic is of an old fashioned that may or may not have ended up in a Stanley cup to drink later at the hotel!

Tonight we are in the quaint little town of Beverly. Seems to be a sleepy little lake town, also very close to Salem. And the shower runs hot, the laundry room has 3 washers and the bed is magnificent!
