We are incredibly proud to announce that 10-year-old Swiss country singer Amelia Zimmermann has joined the Texas Music Project as our newest Global Ambassador!

Amelia recently traveled from Switzerland to deliver an unforgettable performance at Will Call Bar in Dallas’s historic Deep Ellum district. She was accompanied on guitar by her grandfather, Michael Clay, who co-founded Texas Music Project in 2003 with the simple, powerful mission to bring hope and healing to children through music education and therapy.

Over the last two decades, TMP has earned statewide recognition, raised more than $1.5 million, and brought instrument grants and music programs to over 750,000 youth in need. From our early days with founding Honorary Chairman Willie Nelson to sending a 15-year-old Maren Morris to Grammy songwriting classes, TMP has always believed in nurturing the next generation of talent.

As a Global Ambassador, Amelia joins a celebrated roster of Texas-bred artists—including the Peterson Brothers and Remy Reilly—who advocate for youth music programs and our Music Heals therapy campaigns in Texas children's hospitals.

Proving that music is a universal language, Amelia and Michael's stunning performance of Kacey Musgraves' "The Architect" (the 2025 Grammy-winner for Best Country Song) earned a passionate standing ovation from a packed house.

There is something so special about performing at Cook Children’s Hospital.

Throughout my childhood, I spent countless days in hospitals. I know what it’s like to miss school, miss friends, and wonder when you’ll finally get to go home. I also know how much a simple smile, conversation, or song can brighten an otherwise difficult day.

That’s why being part of the Music Meets Medicine Summer Concert Series means so much to me. Music has been such a huge part of my own healing journey, and being able to share it with children and their families is an honor I’ll never take for granted.

Thank you to the Texas Country Music Association and Music Meets Medicine for allowing me to be a small part of bringing hope, encouragement, and a little joy to these incredible kids and their families.

I hope every child I met leaves knowing they’re stronger than they realize and that they are not their illness.

Texas Music Project had the privilege of meeting with the amazing music therapy team at Children's Health as we delivered a collection of ukuleles that represent much more than instruments. They represent generosity, collaboration, and the belief that music has the power to heal.

These ukuleles began with our wonderful partners at Can'd Aid, whose mission is to bring music and wellness resources to communities across the country. Community volunteers carefully assembled every instrument by hand, and the students of Greenhill School's generously donated their time to tune each one, making sure they were ready for the young musicians at Children's Health.

For many children, a ukulele is the perfect first instrument. It's small enough for little hands, easy to learn, and often becomes the beginning of a lifelong love of music. In a hospital setting, it can also provide comfort, creativity, confidence, and moments of joy when they are needed most.

The journey doesn't stop here.

This September, we'll continue our partnership with Can'd Aid at the DDAMF Dallas Arts & Music Festival, where we'll host FREE ukulele lessons, painting activities, and send children home with their own instrument and beginner lesson guide to continue their musical journey.

This is what Texas Music Project is all about. Music connects us. Music brings hope. Music brings healing. And together, we can create opportunities that change lives one song at a time.

Thank you to Can'd Aid, Greenhill School's Music for a Cause, the incredible music therapists at Children's Health, and every volunteer whose hands helped make this possible.
