The tutors are feeling the love today at Gideon!

Anytime is a good time to invest in your child's education. As parents, you already do so much, so whether your kid needs to catch up, keep up, or get ahead, reach out to me about tutoring so it's one less thing you have to worry about!

Sometimes the idea of getting your kid to do extra academic work is daunting. But then there are notes like these to remind us that kids appreciate those who invest in them. These recent notes make me realize:

#1 We have amazing tutors who help students feel comfortable

#2 we have fantastic curriculum to help students feel confident

These students have grown so much in the time that they have been working with Gideon!

May we all have the confidence of the student who walked in Thursday afternoon and with a huge smile exclaimed, "Who gets to work with me today?!"

I informed him that while every tutor wished they could, only one tutor had that privilege Thursday afternoon.

This same student, when he found out his mom recorded him reading a book without any help, said that his mom needs to send it to everybody who loves him, including his tutors.

It's such a joy seeing student confidence grow, and knowing that part of that is because of the fantastic tutors who greet students with a smile and teach them with patience.

I don't know what you call extra candy left over from Valentine's parties, but I call it external motivation.

Want a lollipop? Clean your room.

Do you want those gummy bears? Do your Gideon work.

If you want a Hershey kiss, feed the dog.

Want an m&m? Go potty in the toilet (I recommend using this motivation for potty training children because I don't know why you would use it for any other stage of a child's life.)

Every parent knows that feeling you get when your kid's face lights up with joy and happiness because they completed something on their own.

I was very impressed with my Pre-K daughter for completing a math book entirely on her own over the course of a week with only a handful of backwards numbers. But honestly, even if she had made multiple mistakes on each page, I would have been proud of her for sticking with it and completing it on her own.

So grateful to be a part of the Gideon family!
