DBU Winter Weather Response

Due to forecasted winter weather, the DBU campus will be closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. All Saturday and Monday classes will take place virtually/online. Students should check Blackboard for instructions from faculty for their specific courses. On-campus facilities, including the library, dining hall, DBU Coffeehouse, and Fitness Center, will be open for modified hours during this campus closure. For emergency assistance, contact DBU Police at (214) 333-5555.

DBU is excited to announce that the Fall Career Expo is taking place on Monday, October 27th! Hosted by the Center for Career and Professional Development, this event will be held in the Great Hall from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to connect with a diverse range of hiring organizations, eager to find talented interns and future employees. Please encourage your student to attend with resumes in hand!

Grandparents' Day 2025 is Friday, May 2nd. This event is for current DBU students and their grandparents. Guests are invited to attend Friday Chapel at 10:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon especially designed for the DBU student and their grandparents. Guests are also invited to attend the Annual Hymn Sing at 1:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Pilgrim Chapel. Student and guest registration covers all the day's activities. Parents of DBU Dorm Residents: "Residence Hall White Glove” is coming up! Please remind your son/daughter to tidy up! Students have received emails and flyers are posted in ALL DORMS. Dorm rooms will be checked on Wednesday, December 4th for Spence and Lange, and on Thursday, December 5th for Crowley and Williams. Grandparents' Day at DBU is Friday, April 26. Guests are invited to attend Friday Chapel at 10:00 a.m. followed by a special luncheon designed for DBU students and their guests. The luncheon takes place at 11:30 a.m. in the Great Hall. Guests are also invited to attend the Annual Hymn Sing at 1:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Pilgrim Chapel. Your registration of $18.00 (per student and each guest) covers all the day's activities. We look forward to seeing you at Grandparents' Day 2024!
