🎓So, I did a thing…
This month, I officially completed my first academic year as a college professor!
Over the course of the last two semesters, I had the opportunity to educate and empower more than 160 college students through my Public Speaking and Business & Professional Communication courses that were focused on public speaking, communication, presentations, confidence, leadership, networking, branding, and real-world professional development.
One of the things I’m most proud of is being able to bring real-world experience into the classroom by combining lessons from my 18-year Fortune 50 corporate communications and PR career with my journey as a speaker and entrepreneur with . My goal as an educator was always bigger than teaching. It was about helping students find and strengthen their confidence and voice, while preparing them for life, opportunity, and impact.
To close out the Tarrant County College 2025–2026 academic year yesterday by putting on my Illinois State University regalia, which I wore when I walked across the stage after earning my Master’s Degree in Communication more than 15 years ago, felt incredibly full-circle. (Yes, I kept my cap and gown after all of these years.)
To be selected to serve as one of five Gonfalon carriers at the Tarrant County College commencement ceremony was so special. To congratulate the graduates as they walked pass us after receiving their college diploma was truly a rewarding experience.
Moments like this happen when you allow God to order your personal and professional steps and let your gifts guide you.

Last year, I really enjoyed curating and hosting the 1st annual LoveJustice celebration at the Dallas Cowboys World HQ! I’m excited to do it all over again!
