Florida Education Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas said it best: Florida is leading the way. More than 115,000 additional students in grades 3 through 10 are now reading on grade level. That is what happens when you focus on a student's ability to achieve instead of their race or background. Progress monitoring is working, the results speak for themselves, and every state should be paying attention.
