This orientation is for all Upward Bound students.

✨ Summer Academy 2026 Recap ✨

What a summer! 💙📚

Over the past several weeks, our Upward Bound students challenged themselves, explored college campuses, built new skills, and created memories that will last long after summer ends.

This summer included:
🎓 College tours at Georgia Highlands College, Berry College, and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
🐻 Mercer University’s Bears on Deck program
🐠 An unforgettable visit to the Tennessee Aquarium
✈️ STEM in action at iFLY Atlanta
🔬 Hands-on STEM Week activities and experiments
🏆 An incredible Awards Day showcasing everything our students accomplished

Our students wrapped up the summer by presenting:
🧪 Physical Science & Chemistry projects
🦉 The Owlette Club publication
📚 Book Club summer reflections
🤝 Leadership Club’s community service proposal for the upcoming school year
🧁 Baking Club’s bake-off competition

We’re incredibly proud of every student who showed up, stayed committed, stepped outside their comfort zone, and made this summer one to remember. Your hard work, curiosity, and dedication did not go unnoticed.

College exploration with a side of adventure! 🎓🐠

Our KSU Upward Bound students from spent the day exploring the beautiful campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, learning about college life, academic opportunities, and what it takes to succeed after high school.

After the campus tour, we headed to the Tennessee Aquarium, where students explored marine life, conservation, and the incredible ecosystems that make our world so unique.

Here’s to learning, exploring, and creating memories together! 🖤💛
