Mayfield Elementary

Mayfield Elementary second grade students participated in “Bubble Day.” The math and science classes collaborated to compare the quality of store-bought versus homemade bubble solutions and explored a variety of items to see if they created bubbles. The students made two bubble wands from pipe cleaners and tested which one worked better. They also created “snakes” using sections of pool noodles covered with socks. The activities were designed for prediction and result comparisons, as well as for fun.

This week was extra special at Mayfield!🩶✨

We loved welcoming back some of our amazing Mayfield alumni to speak with our current 5th graders about middle school and what they can expect next year! 🎒📚

Our students got to hear real advice, ask questions, and learn all about schedules, teachers, sports, friendships, and how exciting middle school can be. We are so proud to see our former students growing into such great role models! 🌟

Thank you to our alumni, Abden, Aria, Lia, Iker, Dylan, and Guillermo, for coming back and encouraging the next generation of Mayfield students. Once a Mayfield Jaguar, always part of the Mayfield family! 🐆🤎🐾

The Mayfield Elementary Bilingual team hosted a Lotería night for students and their families. Participants played to win a variety of gifts ranging from an air fryer to a flat top griddle.

✈️💙 Teacher Appreciation Week was cleared for takeoff! 💙✈️

We loved celebrating our amazing staff with a little “ready for takeoff” gift bag filled with yummy onboard snacks to help fuel all they do each day and a personal card from our Admin. 💌🍫🥨🛫

Our teachers help our students soar higher every single day, and we are so thankful for the love, patience, and dedication they bring to our school. They truly are PLANE awesome! ✈️🌟
