💻 Day 8 – The Fake Tech Support

David received a pop-up on his computer:
"Warning! Your computer is infected. Call Microsoft support immediately."

He called the number.

The “technician” asked for remote access to fix the problem.

Minutes later, the scammer had access to all his files.

⚠️ Remember:
Real companies don’t show panic pop-ups asking you to call them.

The Fake Bank Alert

Last night, Tunde received a message that looked like it came from his bank. It said, “Your account will be suspended. Click the link below to verify immediately.”

Tunde panicked. Without thinking, he clicked the link and entered his banking details.

The next morning, he discovered several withdrawals he never made.

Tunde had just fallen for a phishing scam.

Scammers often create messages that look like they come from banks or trusted companies. Their goal is to scare you into clicking a fake link and giving away your details.

⚠️ Stay Safe:
• Never click suspicious links.
• Always check the sender carefully.
• Visit your bank’s official website directly instead of using links.

Don’t let panic make decisions for you online.

The WhatsApp Code Trick

One evening, Musa received a message from a friend asking for help.

“Please send me the verification code WhatsApp just sent to you. I mistakenly used your number.”

Trying to help, Musa sent the code.

Minutes later, he was locked out of his WhatsApp account.

The “friend” had been hacked — and Musa had unknowingly helped the hacker take over his account.

⚠️ Lesson:
Never share OTP or verification codes with anyone, even if they seem to be your friend.

Those codes are the keys to your account.

PHISHING

Last week, my friend Ada received a message on her phone. The message looked like it came from her bank. It said, “Your account will be blocked. Click this link to verify now.”
Ada became worried and quickly clicked the link. The page looked exactly like her bank’s website. She entered her username and password........

Ezinwanyi’s Personal AI Code of Ethics

As a creative educator and advocate for digital empowerment, I recognize that artificial intelligence is a powerful tool capable of shaping the future of learning and creativity. With this awareness comes the responsibility to use AI thoughtfully, transparently, and ethically.

I commit to using AI as a supportive partner in the creative process — one that enhances imagination, promotes problem-solving, and expands access to knowledge for children and learners of all backgrounds. I will ensure that AI complements, rather than replaces, human creativity and emotional intelligence.

I will remain transparent about when and how AI contributes to my work, always giving proper credit to sources and tools. I will examine the ethical and cultural implications of the technologies I use, ensuring that they respect privacy, promote fairness, and protect cultural integrity.

Above all, I will use AI to inspire, educate, and empower young minds to become responsible digital creators. My goal is to help the next generation see technology not just as a product to consume, but as a platform to create, imagine, and build a better future for all.
