Say It Loud Readers and Writers Say It Loud! Readers and Writers is a literary arts organization developed to support educational in

Readers and Writers brings communities together through literature. We access the imaginations of young people with literary invitations to poetry, narrative, prose, and rap. We use vision boards and teach young people the power of visualizing dreams and planning their life goals as early as possible. We believe the greatest investment in children begins quite early with literacy. Say It Loud!, founded in 1997, works with educators and administrators to decrease the literacy achievement gap that hinders African American students in colleges, universities and public schools academically and socially--a hindrance that weighs down educators and administrators, particularly in academically distressed public schools. empowers students to articulate dreams in pictures, poetry, and prose. We work in cooperation with communities and educational organizations equally invested in equal educational, social, and career opportunities for African American students inside of US public schools.
