What does STEM look like at age 3?
It looks like stacking something higher just to see if it will fall. Mixing two things together and watching what happens. Building it one way, deciding it doesn’t work, and trying another. Asking “why?” followed immediately by another “why?” And probably followed by a few more "whys?"
At FPC Day School, STEM learning begins with the way young children already experience the world: through play, investigation, questions, and discovery.
Those everyday moments give children opportunities to practice problem-solving, collaboration, persistence, creativity, and flexible thinking. That’s why this North Texas Giving Day, we’re raising $40,000 to enrich our STEM curriculum and STEAM Lab.
Because sometimes a pretty big idea starts with a very small question.
