🌈 Getting ready for Pride Month?

Here are some tips you should have in mind!

As we say in Argentina (and probably in every Spanish speaking country that actually care about women's rights)
"Happy will be the day that none of us is missing"

"Feliz será el día que no falte ninguna"

So for all the parents out there, I am just going to leave you a little reflection. Are you raising your children equally regardless of gender?

In light of what is happening in our own backyard, with governors supporting/signing hateful bills I want you to all know, that the only bad words are the ones we are too afraid to speak!

No need to whisper every time you say one of these words.

Neither gay, le***an, trans, non-binary, bi, nor sexuality are bad words. Not talking about it won't make the "situation" go away, it will only create shame and repression. This could lead to more serious issues, in the person you are trying to hide (your kid) related to mental health for example or any other coping mechanism that they use such as eating disorder, drugs, self-harm, wreckless sexual behavior, and the list goes on and on.

Not talking about it. Will not make things go away, but talking about it will educate, and create a welcoming environment for your kids to be who they are FREELY!

Do you know that support for you might mean something totally different for them?

I do not want to scare anyone. I just want you to be aware, no fear because fear paralyzes.

I want to bring awareness to parents of what is actually going on within the LGBTQ+ community. I am sure when you saw your new born, you thought "There is nothing I wouldn't do for this little munchkin"
This is the time... your love to test.
Be the parent that doesn't feel like it is constantly failing.

I have introduced myself before, but so many amazing humans have started to follow me since then, so let me do some reintroduction.

My name is Aluminé, I worked in Hospitality for more than 15 years, that was my identity for a very long time. My carrer started in hospitality until finally reaching a General Manager position at a hotel. I enjoyed training the team, seeing them succed and making them feel important in our organization. When the pandemia hit I was not fullfilled anymore as my work load was increasing exponentially and I was loosing the sense of purpose that brought me there in the first place.

Without knowing what my next step was, I made the decision to leave the hotel industry.
I felt in my heart that I needed to do be more involved in the LGBTQ+ community, but I didn't know how. I came across Life Coaching by chance and finally, everything made perfect sense. Now I use all my years of experience into helping LGBTQ+ people and their families to nurture healthy relationships, learn to love themselves, and celebrate their differences to turn them into virtues.

I feel like my professional and personal life are intertwined, so why not get more personal here?
I identify as LGBTQ+ I am not sure which label, in my 20s maybe bisexual, but honestly, that doesn't feel right for me anymore. Now I prefer to not think about it so much, and just feel it.

Following your heart is hard because your mind might tell you otherwise, but it is always the right thing to do.

This said...
We are the product of our thoughts.

If we are constantly thinking we are a failure, or that our identity is not valid, we will eventually turn into that, because our actions will lead us to that.

Putting excuses, for example, when we fail to not try again. Or being ashamed of showing ourselves the way we are because we think we are not worthy, might stop us from becoming our better selves.

It takes time, and practice if we are wired that way from an early age, but it is doable!

So let's do it together!
