Our Lord Botetourt Marching Cavaliers will take the field at halftime with a first look at their 2026 production, “IT LIVES!” 🧟‍♂️⚡

Inspired by Mary Shelley’s classic Frankenstein, this year’s production combines music, movement, storytelling, and plenty of electricity as our Marching Cavaliers bring their newest show to life!

We’re excited to see our students take the field and share what they’ve been working on.

📸 School Picture Day is September 1!

School pictures will be taken at LBHS from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. To have your child’s picture taken and included in the yearbook, parents must complete the PowerSchool registration forms, including Section 8, before picture day.

Please take a moment to check that your forms are complete, so your student doesn’t miss out!

📣 Fall Sports & Voluntary Activities Meetings
Planning to play a sport, participate in a competitive school activity, or apply for a student parking permit this school year? BCPS students and a parent/guardian should attend one of our upcoming Fall Sports & Voluntary Activities Meetings.

Botetourt County Public Schools requires students participating in VHSL athletics, competitive extracurricular activities, or requesting a student parking permit to comply with BCPS School Board Policy JFCF-BR2 regarding random drug testing. These meetings will review the requirements, answer questions, and fulfill the required orientation before participation or parking privileges are approved.

We encourage all students who think they may participate in any of these opportunities to attend one of these meetings with a parent or guardian. We look forward to seeing you!

Calling all future Cavaliers in grades 2-8! Join us for two exciting evenings of football, teamwork, and fun at Cavalier Stadium!

Camp participants will work alongside LBHS coaches and players to develop football fundamentals through:

Members of both the boys and girls outdoor track team competed yesterday in the state meet. We are proud of all of the hard work and commitment of each of our student athletes who competed. Congratulations to the following place winners at the VHLS Class 3 Outdoor Track Meet:

Boys:
3200m & 1600m champ - Eric Duncan

3200m runner up & 1600m 3rd place- Ethan Thorne

110m hurdle champ - Triston Graves 3rd place- Caleb Miller

300 hurdles - Triston Graves - 3rd place

4 x 800 Relay - Preston Vaughn, Ethan Thorne, Eric Duncan & Archer Lee - 5th place

Girls:
Pole Vault: Karleigh Brown - 6th place (first female in school history to place in this event at the state level)
