Over the past two years, the Spriggs Community Free-Store has blossomed into a thriving and self-sustaining community providing an environment for neighbors to swap goods, support each other’s needs, and see how working together benefits us all. In addition to helping our neighbors to access items they need, our Free-Store helps to keep usable goods out of the landfill and reduces waste.

In recent months, we’ve seen an increase in both donations and requests for paper and textile items like clothing, bedding, school supplies, and art supplies, which are challenging to keep in good condition in our current open-air stall. To better meet these needs, we’re asking for support raising funds to purchase a shed as an expansion to the store.

The Spriggs Community Free-Store is hosted by Gan Teva Outdoor Preschool @ Ner Shalom, but is cared for by folks across Woodbridge, Dale City, and the surrounding areas. Amongst its caretakers are our Gan Teva preschoolers who decorate, clean, organize, and stock the store.
