🌟DAKOTA FFA OFFICER SPOTLIGHT 🌟

We’re excited to spotlight Mya Mitchell one of our Dakota FFA officers! Get to know her a little better!

I decided to become an FFA Officer because I already knew I had a big passion for FFA and wanted to jump right in with my FFA career!

My favorite memory so far would have to be the haunted house at National FFA convention last year.

One thing I am most excited for this year in FFA is either State Livestock Judging or Ag Day.

My favorite CDE or LDE is Public Speaking.

One piece of advice I’d give to a new FFA Member is to be yourself and try everything you possibly can because the memory’s you make and the people you will meet are worth it!

My go-to gas station item is a Strawberry Sunrise Alani.

My entrance song for a chapter meeting would definetley have to be Good Time by Alan Jackson.

Something I could talk about for 20 minutes with zero preparation would definitely be showing my livestock animals and farming!

A random fact about me that most people don’t know is that I love going on 4-wheeler rides and going fishing.

If I could add one ridiculous activity to the Dakota FFA calendar I would do a pig scramble!

Farmers feed our communities—now let us feed you!

Dakota FFA is giving back this harvest season with our Feed the Farmers event on Wednesday, October 14! We’ll deliver dinner right to your field between 5:30 and 7:00 PM.

Each meal includes a pork chop sandwich, a side, a bag of chips, a dessert, and a drink.

Delivery is available within the Dakota School District only. We’ll call Wednesday afternoon to confirm your delivery location.

Please sign up by Sunday night, October 11, so we can purchase supplies and prepare enough meals. Submit one form per farm or harvest crew and include everyone who needs a meal.

Dakota FFA competed in the Section 1 Soils CDE today!

Members put their soil judging skills to the test while getting hands-on experience evaluating different soil characteristics and land-use practices.

🌟DAKOTA FFA OFFICER SPOTLIGHT 🌟

We’re excited to spotlight Raelynn Yaeger, one of our Dakota FFA officers! Get to know her a little better!

Why did I want to be an officer - I love ag and everything that comes with it and I enjoy being a role model for the future generations of agriculturalists!

Favorite FFA memory so far- Swimming at the pool at state livestock judging with Lexi, Mya, and dempsie and attempting to play chicken😂

What are you most excited for this FFA year- This year I am looking forward to Ag day and FFA week!

Favorite FFA event- World Dairy Expo Judging with my girls!

Advice for a new member- Go to the contest you were thinking about! Don’t be afraid to meet new people!! Trust me FFA is 10 times more fun with new friends you make!

Something you could talk about for 20 minutes with ZERO preparation- All of my animals on my zoo of a farm😂😂

Random fact most people don’t know- I love anything and everything with ranch!

If you could add 1 ridiculous activity to the Dakota FFA calendar-Chubby Chicken: A twist on the chubby bunny game but instead of marshmallow you have to use chicken nuggets and say cluck

Our Intro to Ag students put their knowledge of Official Dress to the test by designing and constructing their own wearable FFA jackets out of paper! Working with a partner, they had to include the important parts of the iconic blue corduroy jacket while getting creative with their designs.

After plenty of paper, tape, teamwork, and a little chaos, they finished the day with a fashion show to model their creations! I’d say they understood the assignment!

Our first Jr. High FFA meeting was a success! We played games, shared lots of laughs, and had a great time together. The future of Dakota FFA is looking bright! 💙💛

Dakota FFA had an awesome day in Madison checking out the dairy industry, exploring the Expo, and making some great memories along the way!

A special shoutout to our Dairy Judging Team for putting their skills to work today! We’re proud of you for stepping up and representing Dakota FFA!

And a HUGE thank you to our FFA alumni who volunteered their time to help chaperone our field trip. We’re so thankful to have people who continue to show up and support our members and chapter.

Why did you decide to become an FFA officer?
I wanted to be a role model to all the other younger kids and show them that FFA is not just about farming.

What is your favorite FFA memory so far?
My favorite FFA memory is the bus ride to national convention last year doing karaoke all the way there.

What is one thing you’re most excited for this FFA year?
I am most excited for Ag day!

What is your favorite FFA event,

My favorite activity is doing pumpkin chunkin and collecting all the cans for the food panty.

What is one piece of advice you’d give to a new FFA member?
Don’t be afraid to speak up and try new things!

Orange kiss Alani and a bag of cheddar sour cream ruffles.

What song would be your entrance song into a chapter meeting?
Call your mom by Noah kahan!

What is something you could talk about for 20 minutes with ZERO preparation?
Anything pertaining to softball.

What is a random fact about you that most people probably don’t know?
I eat my steak with ketchup.
