Over the last school year, our very own Mrs. V has been mentoring a new teacher! Ms. Abi Heard completed her student teaching with us at Daingerfield High School and accepted a teaching position at Hooks ISD over the summer. She will officially begin her career as a full-time teacher in August!
Because of her outstanding mentorship and dedication to helping a student teacher who not only observed classes during the fall semester, but also taught classes, trained CDE teams, and attended multiple FFA events throughout the spring semester, Mrs. V was presented with the Teacher of Teachers Award today at our Area VI meeting by East Texas A&M University, where Ms. Heard completed her teacher preparation program.
We are incredibly proud of both of these outstanding agricultural educators, and we can’t wait to see where Ms. Heard’s teaching journey takes her!
