Hey uOttawa Grad students,

This Fall (2025), I’ll be teaching CMN 5100 – Research Methods in the Department of Communication. This graduate-level course is designed to strengthen your research skills for MA or PhD work—covering research design, data collection, analysis, ethics, and even the role of new technologies like Generative AI in academic research.

The class is highly interactive, combining seminars, discussions, guest lectures, and student-led presentations. By the end of the term, you’ll have the tools to design and present a solid research proposal while gaining critical insights into qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method approaches.
