We honor America's fallen service members on Memorial Day. All GCPS schools and offices are closed today, Monday, May 25.

🪴Kindergarten ended the school year rooted in learning! After wrapping up their EL Module on trees, our students celebrated by planting a beautiful Jane Magnolia tree right here at Alcova. Students also planted their own lima beans to take home and grow! 🪴

A huge thank you to our business partner, Gary Forrester, for helping make this hands-on learning experience so special for our kindergarteners!

Keep those reading skills strong all summer long while earning prizes through the Gwinnett County Public Library!

Students can log their reading, complete challenges, and have fun all summer while avoiding the summer slide. Don’t forget to connect your Beanstack account to the Gwinnett County Public Library Summer Reading Challenge so your reading counts toward library rewards too!

Today, Wednesday, May 20th, is the last day of the 2025-2026 school year!
We want to thank students, families, teachers, support staff, and our community for your hard work and dedication as we close out the school year. We hope you have a safe and enjoyable summer!

To help dismissal run safely and smoothly on the last day of school, all students MUST have their backpack with their bus/ca rider tag attached.
Please double check before your child leaves home on Wednesday morning!
