Congratulations to Brittany Cerny on earning her Specialist in Special Education from University of West Georgia! 🎓 During her program, Brittany was inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success and was also a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society for graduate students in the College of Education. Brittany plans to continue making an impact in the classroom while using the knowledge and leadership skills she gained to become an even stronger teacher and leader. She also plans to continue her education through a doctorate program with future goals in education policy and school improvement. We are so proud of her incredible accomplishment!

Congratulations to Jennifer Vasquez on earning her Master’s in Secondary Education witha focus in Science from Young Harris College! 🎓 Jennifer graduated with an impressive 4.0 GPA and completed her degree in May 2026. Through this program, she strengthened her teaching skills and deepened her understanding of how to better support and connect with students of all learning needs. She is excited to continue working toward her specialist degree and making an impact in the classroom. We are so proud of this amazing accomplishment!

Waiting for the graduation ceremony to begin can be a bit of a drag… students don’t have their phones, they’re sitting in alphabetical order, so they don’t necessarily know everyone around them, and they are supposed to remain seated so that they don’t get out of order. All of this on top of the building anticipation for the moment they’ve been waiting on for the past 4 years. None of this stopped the class of 2026 from bringing the energy as we made our rounds in the tunnels! This speaks to how much fun this graduating class brought to DHS!
