Dear Families,

During our 4th and 5th grade lunch today, Homyak was briefly placed in a Secure Status due to police activity in the surrounding neighborhood. As a precaution, all students and staff remained safely inside the building while normal activities continued indoors.

The Secure Status has since been lifted, and all students and staff are safe. We wanted to make families aware, as some students may come home and talk about the situation or the announcement they heard at school.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.

Field Day Update!

Homyak Families, we are excited for Field Day! Thankfully, the weather is cooperating enough for us to move forward with many of our planned activities. Students will participate in a variety of fun events both outside on the blacktop and inside the building. However, due to weather conditions, activities on the field and water events will not take place this year.

Field Day Schedule:

PreK–3rd Grade: 9:10–10:19 a.m.
4th–8th Grade: 10:25–11:34 a.m.

If you are volunteering for Field Day, Mrs. India will provide additional guidance and directions upon your arrival.Thank you for your continued support, and let’s make it a great day for our Huskies!
