This weekend our athletes trained with Olympians, toured our nation's capital, built stronger friendships, and represented Mississippi wrestling with pride.

We stayed.
We played.
We trained.

And we headed home better than we arrived.

The future of girls wrestling in Mississippi is bright.

Some of Mississippi's brightest young wrestlers traveled to our nation's capital this weekend for an incredible freestyle wrestling experience in Washington, D.C.

Our athletes had the opportunity to participate in a small, intimate training clinic led by accomplished wrestler Rondeau and Olympic Gold Medalist Maroulis, one of the most decorated women's wrestlers in American history.

Hosted by Beat the Streets DC and supported by outstanding organizations including MyHouse Sports Gear, the Black Wrestling Association, Resilite, Compound Sportswear, and many others, this clinic provided a unique opportunity for athletes to learn directly from some of the best minds in women's wrestling.

More importantly, our athletes didn't just learn new techniques—they experienced firsthand what is possible when women are given opportunities to compete, grow, and lead in our sport.

These young women will be bringing new skills, training concepts, and inspiration back to Mississippi as we continue building opportunities for girls wrestling across our state.

We stayed.
We trained.
We learned.
And we're bringing it all back home.

These athletes stepped into tough national competition…
and didn’t back down.

This is what happens when you invest in girls.

Hard work.

And ultimately—success.

We couldn’t be more proud of how these athletes showed up, represented Mississippi, and proved what they are capable of on the national stage.

🔥 MISSISSIPPI GIRLS DIDN’T JUST ATTEND—THEY ARRIVED.

At the Adidas Nationals, Mississippi didn’t quietly step onto the mat…
we made a statement.

This was the first AND largest girls freestyle team our state has ever sent to a national competition—and they didn’t just show up…

👉 They made history.

From first-time national competitors to All-Americans, these athletes proved something powerful:

Mississippi belongs.

Not someday.
Not eventually.

Right now.

These girls showcased elite athleticism, grit, and heart—and in doing so, they put Mississippi on the map and into the national wrestling conversation.

And this is just the beginning.

There are more milestones coming.
More barriers breaking.
More history to be made.
