How to prune your Shrubs & Trees at the proper time.

Spring-blooming trees and shrubs such as redbud, viburnums, azaleas, and Texas mountain laurel can be pruned once they are past their bloom season. Although little pruning may be needed, you should prune dead branches and branches that rub against each other or other things. Pruning branches that rub against things will reduce bark wounds that may be entry points for disease or pests. Learn how to prune with purpose at https://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/travis/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Pruning-with-a-Purpose.pdf.

So True !

If you noticed w**ds in your turf last summer or fall, now is the time to apply a preemergent herbicide for w**d control. This is not needed if your lawn is healthy and w**d-free. Note: a preemergent herbicide will not control existing w**ds. Learn more about the application of preemergent herbicides athttp://publications.tamu.edu/TURF_LANDSCAPE/PUB_turf_Herbicides%20for%20W**d%20Control%20in%20Turfgrass.pdf for W**d Control in Turfgrass.pdf.
