We are excited to announce our new GardenLine host is Skip Richter.

Skip has decades of experience and an unparalleled horticulture background. He also possesses a friendly, downhome demeanor that is perfect for a weekend garden show.

No one was more recommended than Skip as the next host. Nurseries, gardening experts, and listeners told us that. Because they were friends (and once dorm mates at Texas A&M), we are confident that Skip is the host that Randy would have wanted too!

Beverly, Angela, and Michael will host this weekend. Skip starts on February 25th.

How to prune your Shrubs & Trees at the proper time !

Spring-blooming trees and shrubs such as redbud, viburnums, azaleas, and Texas mountain laurel can be pruned once they are past their bloom season. Although little pruning may be needed, you should prune dead branches and branches that rub against each other or other things. Pruning branches that rub against things will reduce bark wounds that may be entry points for disease or pests. Learn how to prune with purpose at https://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/travis/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Pruning-with-a-Purpose.pdf.
