Big kudos go out to our very own Board President, Ms. Julie Hinaman. The Texas Association of School Boards has singled her out for a special recognition. They shared: “On behalf of the Leadership TASB Alumni Association, it is my distinct honor to formally notify you that you have been selected as the 2026 recipient of the Celebration of Leadership Award, the highest recognition bestowed upon Leadership TASB alumni and public school leaders across the state of Texas.” Join me in congratulating Ms. Hinaman!

On this day, February 22, in 2015 the SRC was renamed the Charlotte Davis Burns Science Resource Center.
We miss you Charlotte.

Big THANK YOU to the Cy Ranch Science National Honor Society for all the wonderful donations for the SRC! Sponsor Tawnya Mann (pictured) delivered them all to the SRC on 2/4/26.

This is David. Made it easily to the SRC to check on all the animals. Everyone’s doing great just had to refill a few waters. Will check on them again tomorrow.
