Today was the perfect way to close out an incredible program year! ❤️

Chapter members and their families joined us for a Family Fun Day in the Park filled with fellowship, laughter, and wonderful memories. We are especially thankful that the rain held off for almost the entire picnic, and when it did arrive, it was only for a brief moment. Thank you to the Red, Blue, Yellow and Green teams for participating in our Team challenges. Kudos to the Blue team for securing the win!

One of the highlights of the day was presenting the Presidential "I Got You" Awards to those individuals who consistently answered the call. Thank you to each of you for always being willing to lend a hand, step up when needed, and provide unwavering support throughout the years. Your dedication has truly made a difference.

We also celebrated our Program, Planning and Development Committee of the Year. Congratulations to the Physical and Mental Health Committee on their back-to-back win! Your commitment to impactful programming continues to set the standard for excellence.

Finally, we were honored to present the Membership Services Award to Denise Moore. To know Denise is to love her. Her servant heart, dedication, and willingness to support others never go unnoticed. Thank you, Denise, for all that you do.

Kudos to an outstanding program year, NHCAC! As we continue elevating our excellence, we remain grateful for every member, every family, and every community partner who helps make our work possible.

Here's to another year of service, sisterhood, and impact. 💜❤️

North Harris County Alumnae Chapter closed out the program year on a high note!

As we continue to celebrate 20 years of service, sisterhood, and impact, we are proud to share that our chapter was honored with seven awards at the 50th Southwest Regional Conference in Grapevine, Texas. These recognitions reflect our continued commitment to elevating excellence and making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every committee chair, committee member, chapter member, community partner, and supporter whose dedication, passion, and unwavering support made these accomplishments possible. These awards are a reflection of the collective effort, passion, and excellence demonstrated throughout the year.

While we are honored by the recognition, the true reward is the work itself. Our chapter exists to serve, and it does our hearts good to see the impact of that service acknowledged. As we commemorate two decades of excellence, we remain committed to building on our legacy, strengthening our communities, and continuing to elevate the standard of service.

Thank you for being part of our journey and our success. Here's to 20 years of excellence and to an even brighter future ahead!

Additional Tips:
1. Educate yourself to recognize the signs a victim may exhibit, such as withdrawal, fearfulness, or isolation
2. Listen without judgment and create a safe space for conversation
3. Break the stigma—have supportive conversations about healthy options and available resources
4. Refer individuals to trained professionals and organizations equipped to support survivors of domestic violence
