Today we made leaf man out of collected leaves. We read Leaf Man again, and Going on a Leaf Hunt. The kids enjoyed looking at the anatomy of a leaf, and learning the parts. We felt the stem, veins and epidermis. We discussed how the leaf gets it's nutrients and how they help us. ⁰

The kids are enjoying a sensory bin, we dyed star pasta, for today. We painted with apples. We cut the apples to see the star inside. We had an apple tasting contest as well. Red delicious, granny smith and envy apples. We graphed the winner. To my surprise the granny smith apple was the winner. 🍏
