The Arnold Middle School Band

Welcome to Arnold Mr. Parker Bissen!

Mr. Parker Bissen is a strong advocate for student opportunity and success. Before teaching at Arnold, he was the owner and operator of the Rose Street Saxophone Room, where his students performed in competitive recitals, placed in All-State ensembles, and won concerto competitions, providing a variety of opportunities for high achieving students. Nicholas has held faculty positions at Lone Star North Harris, the New England Music Camp, and Stephen F. Austin State University as adjunct professor. Nicholas has been featured as a chamber musician, recitalist, and concerto soloist. He has taught, performed, and commissioned new works as a former DACAMERA Young Artist. Nicholas's most recent project is "Reed the Room," a grant funded reed quintet project focused on providing new chamber music opportunities in public schools. At home, Nicholas enjoys cooking for his family in his outdoor kitchen, and riding bikes on the weekend!
