Dia de los Mu***os Junior High School. On November 3rd, we had our Yearbook, Creative Writing, ELA, CTE, VAPA and World Languages departments come together for a day of celebration! All content areas came together in this common project and produced this dynamic result!

Lexington hosted our annual Spelling Bee on Thursday. We are happy to announce that our three 7th grade, and three 8th grade winners will be advancing to the district-wide Words Out Loud and Oral Interpretation event at Kennedy High School's Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, December 2nd. A special shout out to Cypress Kiwanis for providing refreshments, support and medals for our students!

Last week we hosted over 800 students to an "S&O" Party celebrating students who received outstanding or satisfactory on their first quarter report cards! Our awesome parents, teachers, and administration cooked and served lunch to these stellar students. Our ASB director, Mr. Cornelius got his DJ skills on with music and dancing too! It's cool to be good! !

We had over 60 parents attend our first Parent Night! The RxProject presented to parents and students in English and Spanish about the dangers of prescription drug abuse in our teen youths. Stay tuned for our next topic of interest chosen by our parents: Social Media and Internet Safety.
