As Specialized Assessment & Consulting begins our 22nd year in business, we’re especially grateful for the steady leadership of our founder and CEO, Jim Hitchcock. 🍏

Jim has always brought a calm, thoughtful approach to the work we do. His mindset is often simple: “Let’s figure it out.” And over the years, that approach has helped guide Specialized through growth, change, challenges, and countless opportunities to serve schools and students better.

There is a lot to learn from the way Jim leads—with experience, humility, persistence, and a genuine commitment to doing what is right for the people we serve.

What does flexibility actually mean when you work with Specialized? 🍏

We can tell providers we offer flexibility.

But we'd rather let our providers tell you what that looks like.

One of our Deaf Education Consultants recently shared on Indeed that she loves being able to set her own schedule and take students as they comfortably fit her schedule.

An Educational Diagnostician described being able to schedule her day around both her work and family needs and accept cases according to what works for her.

And a School Psychologist shared that she appreciates having the flexibility to accept or decline cases.

That's the provider experience we work hard to create.

Because flexibility isn't just about where you work.

It's having a voice in how much you work, when you work, and what fits your life.
