Spillane Middle School Band

On Friday, May 1, 2026, students from the Spillane Middle School - CFISD Band participated in the Bridgeland High School Band Contest, where all three performing ensembles earned First Division ratings from every judge!

The Symphonic Band received Outstanding Section Awards for the flute, clarinet, trumpet, and low brass sections.

The Concert Winds were named Division Champion! They also earned Outstanding Section Awards for the flute, clarinet, French horn, and low brass sections

The Symphonic Winds were named Grand Champions of the contest! In addition, they received Outstanding Section Awards for the flute, clarinet, trumpet, and percussion sections. Reena Pratt was also recognized as an Outstanding Soloist for her performance.

We are incredibly proud of all of our band students and their dedication and hard work. Please join us in congratulating them on their outstanding achievements!

We’re so proud to announce that 48 Spartans advanced to the next round of Region auditions — the most of any school in the Region! 💙💛

Our talented musicians will compete at Region Finals on Friday, November 7th.

🎉🏆 Big News from Spillane Middle School - CFISD Band! 🏆🎉

We are thrilled to announce that the Spillane Symphonic Winds has been named a National Winner in the prestigious Mark of Excellence National Wind Band Honors Competition! 🌟

This incredible honor places our students’ performance in the top 25% of all entries nationwide. Even more exciting, our recording will be shared with schools across the country as a model of what middle school bands should aspire to sound like. 🎶✨ This is the third time in four years that the Symphonic Winds has received this national recognition! 💙💛

👏 In addition, our Spillane Symphonic Band was recognized as a Commended Winner in the Citation of Excellence competition.

We are thrilled to announce that the Spillane Middle School - CFISD Symphonic Winds has been selected to perform at the Music For All National Concert Band Festival in Indianapolis, IN, March 26–28! 🏆✨

This is a huge honor and an amazing opportunity for our students to showcase their hard work, dedication, and musical talent on a national stage. We couldn’t be prouder of these young musicians and their commitment to musical excellence.

Our 7th and 8th grade band students have spent the week working incredibly hard to prepare a fun and energetic concert. In just a few days, they’ve learned four full pieces of music, developed new skills, and grown as a team—and we can’t wait to share their progress with you!

Spillane Band Camp 2025 Please join us for our end of camp concert.

🎶 Day 1 of Spillane Band Camp = A Huge Success! 🎶

We had an amazing first day of camp at Sampson Elementary with over 90 incredible students from Spillane Middle School - CFISD! From the moment the music started, these young musicians brought energy, focus, and so much joy to the room.

🎵 We’ve already learned 2.5 songs for our big concert on Friday—these kids are on fire!

👏 A huge thank you to our students, staff, and parent volunteers for making the first day run so smoothly. We’re off to an unforgettable week of music, friendships, and fun.

Reminder: Camp will be held at Sampson Elementary this year due to construction at Spillane. We're looking forward to a week full of music, fun, and making memories together!
