Monday, Monday, Monday! Come by and see a free... did I say free? Yes, I did say free play at Cy Springs High School. This play is actually being performed Monday afternoon for area elementary school students. If you can make it, come support these kids and their hard work. They are not charging admission, but donations can be made via PayPal to [email protected].

In all the commotion from Thanksgiving break, we almost forgot to give a HUGE congratulations to some of our thespians that participated in last weeks Texas Thespians State Festival. Bailey and Deion both received Superior ratings in their individual events and are now National Qualifiers! Jasmine and Pelar both received numerous college call backs.

All of our students on the trip were able to perform in front of acting and technical theatre instructors and gain valuable feedback. They also were able to take classes in various theatre instruction.

If you are ever curious about what a donation to Cy Springs Theatre brings, this is part of it. You are not just paying to help us put on a play (that is part of it), but you are helping us place these youngsters in front of people that can forward their theatre dreams. It is events like this where scholarships can be earned and students can catch the attention of college recruiters.

Finally, on a side note, we want to thank the teachers, Mr. Grubbs and Mr. Griffith and our school administrator, Mrs. Lagard, for supervising and chaperoning our children. It is not easy to take time out and travel to watch someone else's child, while everyone else is home, preparing for Thanksgiving. Thanks for all you do.
