Korean American Special Education Center KASEC is a non-profit organization serving Korean families living with mental health needs and/or with developmental disabilities

KASEC provides following programs:

1. Educational and therapeutic programs including music therapy, play therapy, and speech therapy
2. Professional and parent workshop/seminars
3. Community resources and appropriate referrals for families
4. Individual and group counseling for children and families
5. Free magazine about mental health and disabilities in Korean “Ah-Chim-Haet-Sal”

더위를 피해 시원한 공간이 필요하신 분들을 위해 KASEC OC 센터를 무더위 쉼터로 개방합니다. 에어컨이 있는 시원한 곳에서 잠시 쉬어가고 싶으신 분들은 센터 운영 시간
(오전 10시-오후 6시) 중 편하게 방문해 주세요.

Southern California is experiencing dangerously hot weather this week. A Heat Advisory is currently in effect for inland Orange County, followed by an Extreme Heat Warning from Tuesday through Friday.

As temperatures rise, the KASEC OC Center is open as a cooling center for our community.

If you or someone you know needs a cool, air-conditioned place to take a break from the heat, please feel free to stop by during our regular office hours (10am-6pm).

💧 Stay hydrated
☀️ Avoid prolonged time in direct sunlight
🏠 Stay in an air-conditioned space whenever possible
❤️ Check in on family members, neighbors, older adults, and others who may be especially affected by the heat.

From the heartwarming Award Ceremony to the inspiring Exhibition and fun Family Activities, it was a beautiful day of celebrating our Dream Artists and connecting our community through art. 💙

Only 2 Days Until the 7th Annual KASEC Dream Art Contest Exhibition! 🎨

The countdown is on! Just 2 days left until we celebrate the creativity and talent of our amazing Dream Artists!

As we get closer to this special day, we would like to recognize and thank JC One | One-Stop Tax and Financial Planning for supporting this year’s Dream Art Contest. 💙

Their support helps us provide meaningful opportunities for artists with developmental disabilities to share their talents, celebrate their achievements, and connect with the greater community through art.
