Over the past two months, Mr. Xavier Hurt has demonstrated proficiency in both basic and advanced programming logic control. He has proactively sought to comprehend the functionality of every component within an Allen Bradley PLC. Utilizing the MecLabs equipment generously donated by 3M, Mr. Hurt independently developed an exceptional program incorporating impressive safety features, achieving this remarkable feat in a single week without instructor intervention.

As his instructor, I am profoundly impressed by his dedication and self-directed learning capabilities, which have resulted in such an outstanding outcome. This young man possesses a promising future and will undoubtedly be a valuable asset to any employer post-graduation. He will be greatly missed in the Advanced Manufacturing Classroom at the ATC.

It is hard to believe it's that time, but students will soon be signing up for their classes for the 26-27 school year. It can be overwhelming for parents and students to sort through a long list of classes so we have put together a breakdown of some of our course offerings and what they entail. Congratulations to Information Technology (IT) student, Michael Cole, on his new M4 Macbook Pro. He earned this new device as he qualified for an apprenticeship through Dataseam partnering with Mrs. Isaac's IT program and our HC Technology Department.

This two-year competency-based program for Information Technology requires coursework, mentorship, and on-job training as part of paid employment, providing practical work experience across three phases for students grades 11 and 12.

Dataseam and K-12 district partners prepare candidates for information technology careers, addressing vital sector technology demands in education, community banking and healthcare, state & local government for Kentucky.

Apprentice candidates complete a minimum 300 hours of training and instruction as well as a minimum 600 hours paid employment during the Registered Apprenticeship. Participants have the opportunity to earn industry-standard certifications.

The ATC is hosting a Food Drive to help provide food for families that may be in need this Holiday Season as part of our Community Service efforts.

We ask that you bring in or send in with your students canned food and non-perishable food items.

The class with the most donations by 10/31 will get a Pizza Party sponsored by Charley's Roller Rink!

Today, our Advanced Manufacturing seniors gained significant career insight through a comprehensive tour of the Toyota Kentucky plant in Georgetown. The experience included a personalized walk-through of the Assembly Plant, the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center, and the Plastics department. This provided an essential, real-world perspective on modern manufacturing processes.
​The day concluded at Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC), where students connected with 2nd-year AMT students, gaining practical advice and a clearer pathway for their post-secondary and professional journeys. We are committed to providing hands-on opportunities that lead to bright futures!
