🌱🍽️ Farm to Table

Our FFA and Culinary students had the opportunity to work together during the Farm to Table event tonight!

Students not only had the chance to collaborate with each other, but they were also fortunate to work alongside local chef and Harrison County High School alumnus, Tyler McNabb, who shared his knowledge, experience, and passion for the culinary industry. The meal he prepared was delicious and the culinary students made a wonderful dessert!

Experiences like this provide our students with meaningful opportunities to develop career skills, collaborate across programs, and see firsthand the many possibilities available within agriculture and the food industry, all while serving our community!

We are proud of our students for representing HCHS and grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible!

HARRISON COUNTY FFA MUM SALE!

It’s that time of year! 🍂 Harrison County FFA is selling beautiful mums to help support our FFA members and chapter activities! 💙💛

These mums are the perfect way to add some fall color to your porch, home, or business! 🌼

🌸 Mums available in a variety of colors (yellow, red, orange, purple, white). They are 10 inch pots and will be $17! Please understand the pots are 10 inch the mums them self are much larger!

FFA members will be selling August 18th-September 11th!

PICKUP will be September 15th! First come, first serve!

💙💛 Your purchase directly supports our FFA members!

Please note: Because mums are living plants, color shades may vary slightly from the pictured or listed color. Each mum is unique, and the actual shade may be lighter or darker depending on the plant.

This morning, Harrison County FFA members (middle and high school) were proud to serve breakfast at the Harrison County Farm Bureau Country Ham Breakfast!

One of our favorite moments was seeing our very own FFA Vice President, Ella Yazell, serving alongside fellow volunteers as the Kentucky State 4-H Secretary. Ella is a perfect example that students don’t have to choose between FFA and 4-H—you can thrive in both!

In Harrison County, we’re proud of the strong partnership between our FFA chapter and 4-H program. While each organization offers unique opportunities, they share the same goal: developing knowledgeable, skilled, and servant-hearted young leaders. Together, they provide experiences that prepare students for success in agriculture, leadership, and life.

We are also proud of Hadleigh Webb who did a wonderful job sharing about our FFA chapter and Taylor Florence who brought the invocation before breakfast! Our Middle School students did an outstanding job in their speaking roles as well!

Thank you to the Harrison County Farm Bureau for hosting another outstanding Country Ham Breakfast and for supporting the next generation of agricultural leaders. We are grateful to be part of a community where FFA, 4-H, and many community partners work side by side to make a difference and strengthen agriculture!
