If you ever wonder what kids these days are reading, it’s probably about animals, sports, or…there’s a 90% chance it’s a graphic novel. 😂📚

For my library friends - Silly Sunday library tips with Mrs. Hunt! 😂 I brought back an old tradition this week (don’t know why I stopped) of cutting up my food boxes for bookmarks in my school library. This seems ridiculous, and like not a great idea, but it works for several reasons: 1. It’s recycling! 2. Saves space in my home trash cans. 3. They last because they’re thick. 4. The kids think they have insider info on my life because they can see what we’re eating, and to them it’s like I’m sharing all my darkest secrets and they LOVE IT 🤣 - and sometimes we eat the same things! (My husband also has a gluten allergy so the food allergy kids can relate to having to have special labels and check food info - I explain this because lots of our boxed foods are marked “gluten free.”) 5. Who doesn’t want a Fruity Pebbles bookmark?

*Side Note* - this is 63 FREE bookmarks from 2 boxes of rice, a 12 pack of Sprite Zero and one box of Bobo’s granola bars. Guarantee they’re gone by Wednesday. WINNING. 🏆 📚

This week our 4th and 5th grades have read a book of poetry titled “Last Laughs: Animal Epitaphs,” by J. Patrick Lewis, and wrote limericks for an animal’s tombstone. A touch of dark humor is always a win with these ages. 🤣 Please enjoy: these animal epitaph limericks have cracked the whole school up all week!
