Here is our invitation to Grandparents’ Night! We separate this event into two nights because we also open our Book Fair during the evening. This helps us limit the number of visitors in the building so the event can run efficiently.

Primary will visit on Tuesday, September 8th, and Intermediate will visit on Wednesday, September 9th.

Doors will be open from 5:30–7:00 PM.

During the evening, you can:
* Visit your child’s classroom
* Enjoy light refreshments
* Browse and purchase books at the Book Fair

We look forward to welcoming our grandparents and making it a special evening for our students and families!

🎭 Calling all 3rd–5th Grade Stars! 🎭

Get ready to strut your stuff! The HC Elementary Drama Club is excited to announce our fall musical: Aristocats Kids! 🐾✨

Sign-ups officially open this Wednesday, August 26th at 6:00 PM via ParentSquare.

Here are the key details to keep in mind:

Who Can Join: Open to 3rd–5th grade students ONLY!

Cap Capacity: Limited to the first 40 students who register.

Waitlist: The form will remain open after 40 entries. Additional registrants will be added to our waitlist, and we will contact you directly if a spot opens up.

Confirmation: The first 40 confirmed participants will receive an email confirmation for our first practice on Tuesday, September 8th.

Practice Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 4:30 PM in the Southside Gym. (Detailed pick-up instructions are provided in the sign-up form!)

Costume Fee: $25 per student.

WHAT A MORNING AT EASTSIDE!

Our first-ever House Sorting Party was a huge success! Students found out their Houses, showed plenty of school spirit, and had a great time kicking off something new at Eastside.

Harrison Memorial Hospital is proud to support Harrison County students by sponsoring FREE student admission to Harrison County Middle School and Harrison County High School athletic events during the 2026–2027 school year!

Each enrolled Harrison County School student will receive a pre-numbered student pass. Eastside passes will be sent home today.

Please keep this pass in a safe place, as students will use the same pass throughout the school year. Passes are valid through June 30, 2027.

You can use your pass to cheer on the football Breds TONIGHT against Henry County at 7:30 PM on The Hilltop!

IMPORTANT: Students must have their pass and present it at the gate to receive free admission. If the pass is not presented at the time of entry, the regular student admission price will need to be paid.

HMH is excited to help our students cheer on the Breds and Fillies throughout the year. Keep your pass—and we’ll see you at the game!

Open House Update!

We’re back with an update about our Open House!

Thank you so much for your understanding and flexibility as we’ve worked through the weather-related changes. We have decided to reschedule Open House for tomorrow, Wednesday, August 12, from 4:30–6:00 PM.

We’re moving the time a little earlier in the evening to give our students and staff a chance to get home, settle in, and wind down before we officially kick off the school year on Thursday!

We also ask for your understanding as we make this adjustment. Just as this change affects your family, it also affects our staff. Some of our staff members have prior commitments they are unable to change. We will do everything we can to have someone available in each classroom, and many of our faculty and staff are working hard to adjust their schedules so they can be at school to meet you and your children tomorrow.

We are excited to finally welcome you back to Eastside and get this school year started!

Thank you again for your patience, understanding, and flexibility. Have a safe evening, and we’ll see you tomorrow!
