We’re growing the ways we support students at Evolve.

This summer, Andrew completed the Associate-level Orton-Gillingham coursework. This builds on his years of experience supporting struggling learners and gives him more specialized tools to support children who struggle with reading.

We’re excited to share more about what Andrew has been learning, how structured literacy supports developing readers, and details about our new Resilient Reader Program over the next few weeks!

One of our favorite parts of what we do is getting out into the community and meeting families where they are. This weekend, we had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful families at the City of Hudson, Ohio Touch-A-Truck event.

We left feeling so inspired and grateful to be part of such a special community event. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. We hope to see you at another event soon.

Did you know that if your child has an IEP, they may qualify for FREE one-on-one tutoring through Learning Aid Ohio?

Andrew is an approved Learning Aid Ohio tutor and specializes in supporting struggling readers, including students with dyslexia and other learning differences.

Fall applications are open!

Learning Aid Ohio connects families with grant-funded, one-on-one tutoring for students with IEPs. Families can choose from our pool of approved tutors or invite someone they trust to apply.

Fall Semester: September 19, 2026 – January 15, 2027
Applications are reviewed in the order they’re received.

It’s hard to believe last week was the end of Ready, Set, Grow!

We are so grateful to the families who trusted us with their children and to We Rock The Spectrum - Stow for providing such a fun, welcoming space for our group. As one of the kids put it, “This place is a blast!” ❤️

More than anything, we loved getting to know each child and watching them become more comfortable with one another over the past four weeks.

We hope the lessons and new connections we shared together are seeds that continue to grow throughout the summer and into the next school year.

One of the things we've been working on in Ready, Set, Grow! is helping children develop friendship skills.

Last week we read Making Friends Is an Art and the children created their own friendship palettes by choosing colors to represent the strengths they bring to a friendship. Some chose kindness. Others chose sharing or helping a friend feel better.

The coolest part was that every palette looked a little different because each child brings their own strengths and qualities to a friendship. ❤️
