I ran across this class picture of the 1959, 7th grade class. My brother Richard is at the top at the 3rd from the left. Can anyone identify any of these?

To those of us who may not have heard about it yet, Nora Lynn (Pearce) Kelly, 8th grade class of 1955, died on April 1. She was a wonderful lady!

We still need more of us Silver Lake Grade School alumnae to contribute memories and class pictures to this site. This can be a fun trip down memory lane while it allows us to possibly reconnect with favorite classmates and teachers! I met with my 7th and 8th grade science teacher Bill Pletzer a few years ago, and while he had gotten a little older, he still remembered me and my class.

I found these pictures from my 1955 8th grade class. I have some from my 6th and 7th grades also, but I did not include them. Message me if you want copies. I recognized everyone, but Barry Barlow and Bob MacClellan were not in the Class picture. The basketball team includes members of younger classes.

It was suggested that we set up a page for recording class events and history. Please feel free to add anything you think might be of interest. I graduated from here at the end of my 8th grade year in 1955, and went on to Cuyahoga Falls High School.
