Wings of Change Learning Center Wings of Change Learning Center is a private special education school recognized by the Ohio department of education. Wings of Change Therapy, Inc.

is a therapist owned company that provides academics and therapies all in one place. We are Autism and Jon Peterson Scholarship Providers. The target population of the Wings of Change Therapy, Inc. is children, youth and their families, between the ages of four and eighteen years of age with identified disabilities. Some treated diagnosis are but not limited to:

A new month has arrived! With that in mind, we are excited to share a letter from our Principal, Valerie Riedthaler, who has a special message for our students, families, and community for this month!

Dear Wings Families,
What a wonderful start to the 2026–2027 school year! It has been so exciting to welcome our students back to Wings of Change Learning Center! We are grateful for the trust you place in us each day and are looking forward to a fantastic year together.

September is a time for settling into routines, building relationships, and setting the foundation for a successful school year. Our teachers and staff are working hard to help students become comfortable with their schedules, classroom expectations, and goals while creating a safe and supportive environment where every student can grow and succeed.

This month, we will also be collecting canned food and gently used formal clothing. These collections are wonderful opportunities for our Wings community to support others, and we appreciate everyone who is able to participate.
Thank you for helping us begin another great year at Wings of Change. I am excited to see all that our students will accomplish in the months ahead!

We have three different giving back opportunities you can participate in to help support Wings families in need, along with the opportunity to sign your own family up to receive support this holiday season! They are listed below!

🌲 September 1st-11th- Giving Tree Sign Up! 🌲
If you and your family are in need this coming holiday season, please call the office at 234-334- 0044 between September 1 and September 11th! st You will be added to the sign-up sheet, and more info will come home with your child!

🍅 September 1st-30th- Canned Food Drive! 🍅
We are collecting canned goods and other shelf-stable pantry items to stock our shelves for our students/families in need! PLEASE check the date on each item to make sure they are not expired! The classroom that brings in the most canned items will win: Popcorn w/ a Movie in the Theater!

👕 September 1st-December 4th- Formal Clothes Collection! 👕
Bust out those old prom dresses and suits from the back of your closets! We are collecting GENTLY used formalwear for boys and girls for our Winter Formal Dance in January! All items donated will be used for a sensory-friendly shopping experience for our students!

We are thrilled to spotlight the people whose passion and hard work help shape who we are!

Meet Dayanna Davis. Dayanna is our Art Teacher who has been with us at Wings for 4 years! When asked what she loves most about her job she said, “I really enjoy when students, specifically students who don’t participate, not only participate but find the joy in trying something new!” Something you would be surprised to learn about her is that she is a certified 200 hour Yoga Instructor.

We are so grateful to have Dayanna as part of our Wings of Change family! ❤

We are excited to bring you our Student of the Month for August Konner McKnight! Konner is a third grade student at Wings! He is a very affectionate and kind little boy who loves to be at school. He works so hard and does an excellent job with identifying letters and letter sounds. Konner has an infectious smile and loves to complete his tasks for his favorite lollipop from Miss Katy! :)
