Our 3rd graders had so much fun becoming scientists during our Inheritance and Traits unit!

In our Exploring Inheritance lesson, students created their very own creatures using inherited instructions from two parents!

Through this hands-on activity, students discovered how offspring can inherit traits from both parents while still having similarities and differences from their siblings!

We loved seeing their creativity, teamwork, and scientific thinking come to life!

🏛️🏅 Mrs Alyce and Mrs Rhoda’s 2nd grade classes wrapped up their Ancient Greece Domain with the Cut Off Elementary Second Grade Olympics! 🇬🇷 Our second graders competed in word scramble, Pictionary, throwing events, and stacking challenges! Each class had gold, silver, and bronze medalists who showed off their skills and sportsmanship. 🥇🥈🥉

🏛️🏅 Mrs Alyce and Mrs Rhoda’s 2nd grade classes wrapped up their Ancient Greece Domain with the Cut Off Elementary Second Grade Olympics! 🇬🇷 Our second graders competed in word scramble, Pictionary, throwing events, and stacking challenges! Rounding fun in Mrs. Cheramie’s 3rd Grade class! 🎈
Who knew rounding could be so much fun? 🤩 Today, our mathematicians practiced rounding using vertical number lines and balloons!
Students recorded their numbers and benchmarks on their number lines, then counted the math way while holding their balloons. 🎈 If the digit was 4 or less, the balloon stayed down, showing the number was below the halfway point. If the digit was 5 or greater, the balloon went UP, showing the number was at or above the halfway point! 🎈⭐️
