Over the years, many parents have asked thoughtful questions about music education - practice, motivation, music theory, competitions, confidence, and how children develop as musicians.

While every student is unique and every family receives guidance based on their individual goals and circumstances, many of the underlying educational principles are universal.

That's why I'm starting Omei Music Conversations - a series of short conversations exploring the ideas behind music education and helping parents better understand the learning process.

I hope these conversations provide helpful perspective and support families as they navigate their children's musical journey.

Summer Camp registration is open at Omei Academy.

We’re currently offering a limited enrollment incentive through Sunday, May 17:

Families who register and include at least one of the following weeks in their summer enrollment will have the $50 registration fee waived:

• July 20–24
• July 27–31
• August 3–7

Omei Summer Camp is a structured full-day program for TK–Grade 5 students that combines academic practice, creative projects, and teacher-led group activities in a small-group environment.

What is your child doing all day this summer?

Omei Academy Summer Camp offers a full-day program with a clear daily structure that includes:
• Academic practice (English and Math)
• Project-based activities
• Teacher-led group activities

Small groups (maximum 15 students per week) allow for focused supervision and a calm, organized environment.

Dates: June 8 – August 7 (no camp July 6–10)
